This document covers the legal information and privacy policy of all the WeatherSmart Ads service offering and communication materials. In this document, the terms website, application, and services may be used indifferently to refer to the WeatherSmart Ads services.

This Policy describes the information we collect from you, how we use that information and our legal basis for doing so. It also covers whether and how that information may be shared and your rights and choices regarding the information you provide to us.

What We Collect and Receive

In order to provide you the best possible experience on this website and while using the WeatherSmart Ads services, we collect and process certain information.

We will never sell your personal data to anyone.

Depending on your use of the Services, 'your data' may include:

• Contact us via email — for example, we will collect your name, email address, message, etc. We use this data solely in connection with answering the queries we receive.
• Google User Data — To provide our core automation service, we access and store specific data from your Google and Google Ads accounts via OAuth:
  • Basic Profile Information: Your email address and name (to identify your account).
  • Google Ads Account IDs: The IDs of the Google Ads accounts you choose to link.
  • Campaign Data: IDs and names of campaigns you select for automation, and their current status (paused/enabled).
  • Authentication Tokens: We securely store OAuth refresh tokens to allow our automated system to adjust your campaign statuses in the background according to your rules, even when you are not logged into the application.
• Service data — once you've succesfully signed up to our services, we store information essential for the proper functioning and delivery of the promised features of WeatherSmart Ads. This includes the weather-based automation conditions you define (including the IDs of your target Google Ads Campaigns). This data enables us to automatically manage your ad campaigns according to your specified weather criteria.
• Usage data — when you visit our site, we will store: the website from which you visited us from, the parts of my site you visit, the date and duration of your visit, your anonymised IP address, information from the device (device type, operating system, screen resolution, language, country you are located in, and web browser type) you used during your visit, and more. We process this usage data in analytics tools for statistical purposes, to improve my site and to recognize and stop any misuse. This is done using the PostHog software.
• Cookies — we use cookies (small data files transferred onto computers or devices by sites) for the proper operation of our services, in particular to authenticate the user while he uses the add-in. You may deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies by changing the settings of your web browser. Cookies that are already stored may be deleted at any time. We cannott guarantee the correct behaviour of the services if you do so. We use Google OAuth as an identity provider.

How We Use Google User Data

We use the information from your Google Ads account exclusively to:

• Retrieve a list of your campaigns so you can select which ones to automate.
• Monitor the current status of your selected campaigns.
• Automatically pause or resume campaigns based on the weather rules you have configured.

We do not use your Google data for any other purpose, such as marketing, profiling, or sharing with third-party advertising networks. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not transfer or disclose your information to third parties.

Data Protection & Security

We take the security of your sensitive data very seriously. We implement the following data protection mechanisms:

• Encryption in Transit: All data transferred between your browser and our servers, and between our servers and the Google APIs, is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security).
• Encryption at Rest: Sensitive information, including OAuth refresh tokens and user identifiers, is stored in our database using encryption-at-rest to prevent unauthorized access.
• Access Control: Access to the database and sensitive tokens is strictly limited to the application's core automated processes. We do not expose these tokens in our frontend or to any third-party services.
• Security Audits: Our infrastructure and software dependencies are regularly updated to protect against known vulnerabilities.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as it is necessary to provide you with the WeatherSmart Ads services:

• Active Accounts: We store your configuration and authentication tokens as long as your account is active and you use our services.
• Account Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at contact@weather-smart-ads.com. Upon request, we will permanently delete your user profile, linked Google Ads account information, and all stored OAuth tokens within 30 days.
• Disconnecting Google Ads: You can disconnect your Google Ads account from our dashboard at any time, which will immediately delete the stored refresh tokens from our database.

Google API Limited Use Disclosure

WeatherSmart Ads use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed of Personal Data processed by my website, a right to rectification/correction, erasure and restriction of processing. You also have the right to ask from us a structured, common and machine-readable format of Personal Data you provided to us.

We can only identify you via your email address and we can only adhere to your request and provide information if we have Personal Data about you through you having made contact with us directly and/or you using our site and/or service.
